EXPLORING CHARLESTON AREA

My friend Beverly suggested we take a short detour on the drive to the Charleston to visit People, Places & Quilts in Summerville, SC. I'm to the point in my quilting that I rarely visit quilt shops.....basically shopping only for specific projects.

I'm so glad she suggested this stylish, well decorated, charming shop.....

I could probably post a 100 photos of all the clever touches displayed in this well lighted, spacious shop....

....like nooks for reading.....

Samples galore....

.....cute, don't you agree?

......loved the button flowers.....

......fabric foliage.....

.......vignettes that make you smile....

....and oh ya.....there is plenty of fabric, batting, tools, patterns....they have it all......

What a cool looking quilt shop! Isn't it fun (for those of us who don't frequent quilt shops often) to see a quilt shop that just makes you smile! the only drawn back from creating our own fabric. OK, I'm sure there are others but there's always a "six of one and half a dozen of another" reasons for everything!

I love this shop....and thier sister store downtown....and Diane the shopowner....is just the best....she can turn fabric in to magic with her displays and vignettes.....Glad you got to visit it.. I do so miss it- since it used to be my local quilt shop...now its 6.5 hours away... ;(
