Some of you may be too young to know the impact or perhaps even the name of Jeffrey Gutcheon, but he did have a huge influence on our quilt world when contemporary quilt making was nearly unheard of.
It's with sadness that I pass along the news of his death after a seven year struggle. His obit is here.

Yup, I've been quilting long enough to remember Jeffrey Gutcheon and his part in quilting low these many years ago. Always one that I admired. Didn't know about his musical career though - often these things go hand in hand. Thanks for sharing. What a difficult time for our quilting community.
