Do you work in clutter?
It gets worse after I bring out the beads.....and begin auditioning trinkets, beads, baubles.....
Finally, after much indecision.....my color palette and design direction begins to take shape. Obviously, that's subject to change.....but it's such a relief then to be able to clean up the mess so I can concentrate on the work.
I can tolerate clutter for only short periods of time......as I'm admittedly a very organized person and kinda of a neat freak......
So what about you.....how to you approach working on a project??

Ditto! I just can't work with all the 'stuff' around me! Plus, if the clutter is all over you can even get started when you walk in your room. I clean up each day when I work in my sewing room. Just gives you a good feeling to get back to a project or to start a new one. Oh, yea, I'm a Type A as well...and still trying to get over the Lion's loss on Sunday...boo hoo....
I don't like clutter and find it distracts me from my project. Yes, we do need to drag out supplies, stash, etc. But once selections are made, cut, whatever, I like to put most of it away as I sew. I don't want to feel embarrassed when people pop in and see my studio, which is a sunroom right off the kitchen.
Drawers and cabinets with doors, plus closets are my friend. Those folded stacks of fabrics and bins of tools are in their place, but not out in the open. (except for my rulers, which hang in their apron).
