FIBER JUNKIES AUG. MEETING - part 2

Carol Sloan gave us so many creative tips to decorate our pages and followed it up with several good demos to show us how to hand sew or machine sew our 'signatures' (sections of pages) into our book covers.

Using dyes....Judy sprayed her pages......

Carol brought Distress Ink for us to share which was the perfect finishing touch over sprayed, stamped, and painted pages.

Here's Nancy's lovely book cover. I adore how she incorporated a few of Judy's hand dyed silk leaves!

And here is the back cover....

It only gets better inside....she must have spent hours decorating her pages!!! This gal truly has a knack for combining various mediums.

Val, another accomplished painter in our group added a small paintings to one of her pages.......

...........as well as lace to the edge of another page featuring a charming flower.....

Last but not least, here's Patsy's cover...... The leaves were cut with her Sizzix machine.....

This was such a fun and educational project. The talent in this group never ceases to amaze me....believe me, I'll never be bored with pals like this to keep me energized!
