A positive bonus of teaching along the quilting highway is the contact and friendships with my students.

During my recent trip to the Quilter's Sew-ciety in Redding, CA, Leslie Mastalarz
gifted two peacock feathers to me. Immediate inspiration!!

Normally I draw my designs onto a stabilizer, baste it to felted wool, then stitch along the lines to transfer the motif to the right side to follow as I bead. This time I'm trying free-form beading.....by simply referring to the feather as I sew.
I've done quite a bit of ripping already, but think I'm on track now..... My biggest issue is that I'm running out of one of the green bead styles I'm using.....hummm.
