TALENTED FIBER JUNKIES

At the risk of bragging too much about my talented pals in our Fiber Junkie's group.....here's some more of our show and tell from March's meeting.

Patsy Thompson is not only a fantastic machine quilter, she's also a very generous person who shares her skills on her website with detailed tutorials. Plus, she finds time to create to-die for pieces for worthy causes. This 16" x 16" will be donated to the Alliance for American Quilt's 'New From Old' contest which is a fund raiser for the group. Check out the details here.

Val Mcgaughey is skilled in silk screen printing which she does on her own hand dyed fabrics. This stunning image of tree branches has been manipulated to create a high impact design.

Here Val's used it as hair on a screen printed face, which of course she's drawn herself.

These last two designs are more of her doodle images, which are combined.....love it!!

It's so inspiring to not only see the work of these talented friends, but learn the techniques as well. Seriously, I don't think I ever have to worry about being bored....there's so much to learn!!
