SO LONG BUT NOT GOODBYE

I've been fortunate to be a member of a small fiber group ever since we moved to the Asheville area nearly 18 years ago.  Yesterday we met at Georgia Bonesteel's home, it will be my last formal meeting with the group before we head West.

It's been an honor and privilege to call these talented artists friends.  There are 14 of us.....sadly not everyone could attend.

Georgia, ever the instructor, showed us a new technique and after lunch we gathered to commemorate the day.....so here's a 'so long but not goodbye' photo.

Check out Georgia's barn quilt too.....

Such an outstanding group. You'll miss them, and they will miss you. But what a pleasure to have been part of them for nearly two decades.

It's hard to believe that you have been in NC for almost 18 years. Time flies. I hope your next home makes you just as happy as this one did.

These partings are always so difficult. I hope you find a meaningful way to keep in contact.
