Fair perspective of a John Deere vs a beloved sewing machine. But I'm sure he'll have opportunities to make new friends who own live on acreage, own one and would be happy to have him come mow their acreage. Heck, he could probably start a business doing such.LOL.
Oh my, a sad goodbye. My husband loves to be out on the mower. Likening it to the sewing machine is a good comparison. I even delay having mine serviced just because I don't like it "being away". I may not be sewing anything at the moment... but I might want to all of a sudden. Even with a second machine on hand, I put it off! So yes, this is hard.

Downsizing is hard, but you are at the beginning of a new adventure.
