IN FLIGHT

 Gosh, the ideas keep flowing......here's another new piece I've been working on.

IN FLIGHT - 12” x 12” 

Hand ice-dyed silk noil, marbled raw silk, appliquéd & quilted with metallic thread. Mounted on canvas covered frame with fabric back,ing, prepared for hanging or display on a table top easel.

The background fabric is perfect! Love the way you fussy cut the crane fabric. Gives me an idea for a new dragon quilt for my son.

I should say more than that. Part of what makes this so beautiful is the perfect balance you achieved between moon and the 2 cranes' placements. Harder to do than many realize. But if you tell me it all fell into place as if by magic, I'd believe that too!

Thank you Robbie & Sheila for your kind thoughts........Sheila hit the mark when she said balance can sometimes be more difficult than it appears.....especially so on a smaller piece with less elements. This time it did just work!
