FALL COLOR?!?

This strange year goes on and on..... our fall here in the Blue Ridge Mountains usually features a prolonged stunning display of color. We've had some lovely days, but look....same place, same time of the day.....5 days apart and it's gone from not yet peak to almost over.

I'll bet I'm not the only one who is anxious for 2020 to be over!!

It has been an interesting year for leaves. We've been here for 24 years and our tree out front has never turned the beautiful orange/red hubby wanted it to be...UNTIL this year! Our tree is the prettiest it has ever been...just beautiful! Might never happen again but we sure enjoyed it this year. Also, we only have 8 bags full of leaves...last year at this time we had over twice that and over 20+ by the end of the season!

Mother Nature rules the show for sure! Our colors this year have been spectacular! I'm almost...almost glad I wasn't able to get down there this fall. I adore the autumn colors, so glad that we got a lot!

Amen, time for this awful year to be done. We took a drive to the Rattler yesterday, not much color and most of the leaves are already off the trees. Our view has much gold and brown, not much red or orange.

It's interesting as I've seen some spectacular leaf color in some photos this year from NY and Michigan areas. But they sure don't last, especially if there's a heavy rain. But yes, this 2020 stuff needs to stop already!
