Nearly 47 years ago, my roommate married 'the husband's' roommate....we've remained friends ever since, despite living in different states for the bulk of those years.
Now my friend is ungoing treatment for breast cancer....she's lucky, hers was discovered early and her outlook is very positive. California is a long way from North Carolina, but she'll soon be wrapped with my warm hugs anyway.

This makes me smile, as I know it will your friend. Nothing like wrapping yourself up in the love infused in a gift like this. Nothing. Not even the hug of the person herself. It's like armor and it doesn't have to leave. It is indeed like holding hands across the country.
this is a loovely quilt and will draw you close to her whilst she is undergoing her treatment which I pray will be a success
