Having the opportunity to experience quilt guild's show and tell's as often as I have over the past 20 years is something to be so thankful for. From time to time, some are very special......the Thread's of Time in Lexington, SC was one.
This is a new, small guild....but their enthusiasm and dedication is unmatched..... As is typical during show and tell, the quilts pass too quickly to get everyone's names....but everyone was generous when I asked if I could post these photos...tx's for sharing.....
Look how the pattern in several of these album blocks has totally faded away.
I've NEVER seen a quilt like this......
Upon further inspection....the blocks consist of what appears to be prairie points....arranged in a circle.....

But aren't we all proud of her!!
It's hard to come up with enough words of admiration for a group whose show and tell consisted of 50% donations quilts......... Impressive and generous come to mind.....this group is about 60 members strong.....yet they donate more than 100 quilts each year to worthy causes.
The color of my photo certainly doesn't do this quilt justice....but I wanted to share it anyway because of the skillful 'fractured' piecing.
I love this colorful rendition of Chinese Coins....esp. the Holstein spot fabric....always a winner in my mind.
Again, the color of this photo does not do this well executed quilt justice.....Ann did a masterful job of appliqueing a 4 seasons pattern quilt top which she will embellish with beads....YEAH!!!
Thank you Threads of Time guild members for your fabulous hospitality......
