ANTIQUE QUILTS

'The husband's' back is acting up....so we put household chores on hold and headed out to do some antiquing today.

This brand of sewing machine was a new one on me.

In just one antique mall, there were more antique quilts for sale then I've ever seen outside a quilt show.  This folk art piece was fairly well executed and it seemed quite out of place.

Sale price of $67 for what was described as a Queen Size quilt......wondering the age since queen size beds are a modern invention.  Note the lack of quilting.

This quilt's color was still very vibrant, sadly on closer inspection it had a lot of stains.

Interesting colors, most of the black patches were very deteriorated.

This was marked as a North Carolina comforter.
