UTAH Q.G. CHARITY PROJECTS

I'm still marveling over the innovative ideas the Utah State Guild have come up with to benefit various charities.

This framed piece, featuring covered buttons was made by Mitzie Siebert. Chances are sold for the opportunity to own this and many other donated pieces.

The 'pink' theme is apparent in this large display dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. Each year members donate blocks....which during the next year, are turned into items to be sold at the following Guild Retreat.

And look at the items available this year. Their 'auction' system is clever too. Tickets are purchased, then the buyer puts their stubs into the basket dedicated to each item.....so it's sort of like a silent auction where you select the piece you wish to own......but rather than bidding with a specific monetary amount, instead, the number of ticket stubs you have in the basket can help to increase your chances of winning the item. Sounds like fun!

I couldn't even begin to count how many pieces were available for purchase.......three cheers for the generous members of the Utah State Guild!
