There's a certain sense of satisfaction one achieves when a lowly, single linen vintage napkin is transformed into a piece of wall art. It was a pleasant journey!

Thank you all for your flattering comments.....believe me I'm inspired by your work too! I'll address the question about the hanging device..... I planned to mount this piece on a canvas wrapped frame......which would have been covered with a complimentary fabric. BUT....I didn't have the correct size.....so after much brainstorming.....I used a piece of National Nonwoven's Woolfelt 70/30 weight as a backing. Some minor quilting was done to hold the layers together. I fashioned a 'sleeve' from two Woolfelt triangles. Rather than using a wood dowel (the profile is too thick), a sturdy piece steel rod (about 1/16" - 1/8" thick) was cut to the proper length which slides into the two triangles. I use this method a lot for the wool pieces I create.

You have selected the perfect title for this piece. I was struck by the layering of the leaves, on the central panel, echoed by the leafy vine quilted around the perimeter. Lovely.
