NO GAS....GUESS I'LL SEW!

Now that Covid restrictions have eased, we are again isolated in our homes without gas to travel anywhere. 78% of gas stations in NC are w/o gas, and that figure was as the evening of the 12th. There is none to be found here in the mountains. What's a gal to do?? Oh ya.....how about continuing work on the lap quilt for our son's family.....they need longer ones for the males in the family. Dashes of earth colors punctuate the black and white fabrics....many are fussy cut to highlight interesting motifs.

I had no idea the gas situation was that bad where you are! Yep, it's a good excuse to sew.

Can't go wrong with black and white...always a winner. Like the touch of earth tones.

I'd been seeing the news but didn't occur to me that it would affect you. You've got a great new project going there.

Same here, 100% of the Hendersonville stations are out of gas. No idea when we will get deliveries. So, yes, mask restrictions are easing, but we still can't go anywhere!

The gas- indeed as the old saying goes, "if it's not one thing, it's ten others." I saw your state was in rough shape with supplies. Florida's issues were more caused by panic buying as opposed to a real shortage. I think things are leveled out now. It's a lot like when a hurricane is predicted or the aftermath... lines and more lines. Us rural dwellers have to stay on top of things! Those scraps should keep you busy for a bit. The quilt top is looking good.
