The second layer was the other half of that same failed eco-dyed piece, however this one was acid dyed, using binder clips as resists.
About 5" in diameter.
These two pieces are also National Nonwoven's Woolfelt.....I can't recall exactly what method I used that ended in disappointment, but happily over-dyeing provided a much better appearance.
About 5" in diameter.

I want to reach into my computer screen and feel them! Where did you get the pattern for these? I've never seen any quite like them - very nice :-)
Oh my gosh...these are adorable! So unique!!
I really like the dyeing on these pieces and the little bowls are wonderful.
Amazing that you dye your fabrics.
I've been thinking baskets most of the day, just wondering what I'll do next. This is a fabulous idea! Of course, your fabric is perfect, but I may have something that will do in a pinch. :) I do have to know, is the fabric as soft and fuzzy as it appears? I really want to touch and squish to find out for sure.
To answer Mary's question....yes....I've used felted wool to create these baskets....they are soft and a bit fuzzy.....very touchable!
