RAIN SOAKED

Perhaps you've heard mention on the news about the 200 year rain happening in the Southeastern part of the US.  Yup.....we've had about 12" now in a less than a week.  Until today we'd escaped the power outages that many have experienced in our area, mostly due to downed trees because of the water saturated ground.  Alas, we had our turn this morning.....but the sky is brightening a bit, the power is back on....and all is well.

I choose to look at the positive affects of this long lasting storm.....the foliage is simply sparking with moisture.
Beautiful, yes??

High in the mountains with a lot of rain! But, oh, the Low Country. How devastating. Doesn't it seem the minute the power is off, absolutely everything you think of to do requires it?? Glad you've had it returned.

It looks like a painting!!!! Just beautiful. I feel SO bad for all those who have lost their homes, cars and everything they own. Just terrible!!! Glad you've made it through!!

you know what they say it never rains but it pours and it has certainly been true for you, we have seen it on the tv here, some destruction and also very bad in France. Have had warnings this morning that we could have very heavy rain this afternoon and maybe thunder so umbrella will have to come with me when I go out today
