My studio time continues to be somewhat limited as 'the husband's' recovery moves along slowly, but definitely in the right direction.
My pal Helen gifted me 2 boxes of black and white fabric which I've played with several times over the last couple of years. A small stack of cut rectangles were just the incentive needed to jump start some simple patchwork. But first, several design options are being considered.
Stay tuned.....to see the result.......

Ooooo-like the thin red line!
Love the idea of a band of bright color on the graphic background! Look forward to your next steps.
Glad the hubby is improving. I agree with Jenny, the thin red line.
Nice B&W prints--I, being the scrappy lover that I am--like the first look a lot...
hugs for a Happy New Year, Mary Julierose
The thin red line really grabs me!
Glad to hear that your husband is recovering. More studio time will come.
Must feel good to be puttering! What a surprise to see the bright colors marching across the b & w. Not unlike the winter scene outside my window as the sun breaks through this morning. :-) I'm anxious to get puttering myself having just finished that Xmas present project but I think a good straightening of the studio is in order first - what a mess I have at the end of the year - lol
I think at least half the fun of making a quilt is figuring out what pieces and colors would be perfect. Looks like you're having fun.
My vote is also for the thin red line. It helps to calm the high contrast busy-ness of the black and white prints.
You know my love of b/w...and the RED line is perfect for this!!! We're in Florida...arrived Thursday afternoon...I'll be missing in action for awhile as I get my act together...meet up with the group on the 9th for some deconstructed screen work! Can't wait!
liking the the idea of beaking up the fabric with a dash of colour.
Hoping DH continues to improve and wishing you both a happy new year and all the best for 2017
