MY MACHINE IS HUMMING

After several years of working through a very large inherited collection of Japanese fabrics, I'm enjoying the process more and more.  It's a fun challenge figuring out how to feature these fabrics, which not only can be very busy, but not my typical style.

As is my normal procedure, I spend a lot of time auditioning layouts before stitching begins.  I tend to work slow and methodical....even though my mind wants me to race much faster!

I have picked up this piece a dozen times but found it difficult to use......shouldn't be but it was. I worried that the text might be upside down until I asked someone who knows a bit about that language and she said some of the symbols aren't even words......and they seem to be going every which way. Hope she was right. I'm hand sewing the binding now, sleeve prepared for hand sewing too...hope to finish today so I can hang it tomorrow.
