HERE WE GO AGAIN!!

   OH.....to be at Lambeau Field today.......GO PACK GO!!!

I grew up about 45 mins. from the Frozen Tundra......and of course have always been a Packer fan.....even in times when we had to say, "there's always next year."  I sure hope that won't be uttered today.... 

My loyalty has been displayed in so many ways.......

I was the featured guest speaker for a luncheon at one of the annual AQS Quilt Shows where I presented a fashion show of my wearable art garments.  My entrance set the audience at ease, I explained, NO, my garments are not made to wear scrubbing the kitchen floor or attending a Packer game.  That broke the ice with an edgy audience that had to endure a very long wait for their food due to serving delays.

Here's Blossom....she weighed 65 lbs.  She had a large rubbermaid tub full of accessories.  It was so much fun dressing her for various occassions.

And here's Sooty, our sweet rescue black lab who helps us show our Packer loyalty.

TRITE BUT TRUE

Yup....there's always next year.  Despite this encouraging photo....the Packers fell to the 49ers 20-37.

San Francisco has a great team that played almost flawlessly, Green Bay has a very good team that played poorly.  They gave us an unexpectedly exciting year and nearly reached the end with a 1st year coach. No complaints from me.

I'm a Packer Fan, I'll always be a Packer Fan......GO PACK GO!!

No gloating here....just total relief.  Couldn't be happier to see a first year coach being rewarded by the team and of course Aaron being Aaron....we have much to be thankful for.  

Now, onto to the 49'rs....It won't be easy but I know the Pack will give them their all.  Breathlessly waiting for next Sunday night!

Snow is expected Sat. night....in Green Bay. Lambeau Field is a REAL football stadium....it's outside!!!  700 volunteers are being requested for Sunday morning to clear the seats.

CREATING ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON

It's another football Sunday so I was glued to the Internet listening to the Packer/Bronco game which left me leaping for joy -  PACKERS 27 - BRONCOS 16

Can't say I'm a fan of the throwback uniforms but I sure am of #12 and the team he leads.  Finally, a Packer game will be broadcast here in the mountains....as they face the Eagles on Thursday night.  But why oh why are these games sooooo late in the evening!?!?  

 Just sitting idle isn't my style so I decided to make shams for two pillows that came with a piece of furniture we purchased awhile ago and never used. 

We've been using our lower level space for evening TV watching all summer. Recently I blogged about the protective couch quilt I made for Sooty (our sweet rescue lab).  And because 'the husband' insists on running the ceiling fan at the highest speed, I made a lap quilt for myself.  Now there are companion pillows for further comfort.

For die hard Packer fans like us......if the Packers never win any other game during a season, it's a MUST to beat the Chicago Bears.  After living in the Chicago area for over 30 years.....we've had to put up with 'Da Bears' and their fans...when everyone knows America's favorite team is the Green Bay Packers!!! 

                So for the first game of the season tonight....let me say......

It's Sunday......our weather here has turned almost fall like......with more and more leaves on the ground and yikes....even some color!

Of course that means it's "Packer Time".....yes, I'm talking about our beloved Green Bay Packers.
