UPCYCLING

My creative side has been side-lined due to caretaking responsibilities. So with limited time, I decided to upcycle a few traditional, somewhat faded wall quilts, made back when I was still hand quilting everything. This one was made into bookcovers for my gallery inventory.

  1. Now that's smart, Mary. It's useful and I'm thinking that "fragment" quilt projects have a lot of sales appeal.

  2. Nice way to recycle something vintage into something new.

  3. these are a great way to 'upcycle'....I figure giving the girls totes from my old quilts will lessen all the quilts they're going to have to give away or pitch! HA Actually, I have several little bag types pieces I've done from my old quilts. Works for me!

  4. Wow, that particular quilt pattern worked much better on the book cover than I envisioned. I just can't bring myself to cut things like your quilt up. Just me, although I see it done so often successfully. :-)
