When one's chosen print style fabric has run out, but you need to enlarge an in-process piece.........what do you do? I audition options after shopping in my stash.
I haven't purchased fabric in years...yes, really. This had led me to developing my designs far more creatively. However, if work begins looking like I shopped in a dumpster and threw it against my design wall.....I will break my golden rule and fess up! LOL
Oh, we older quilters have SO much fabric in our stashes. Always humorous when we still can't find quite the right one for a current project, but like you, I seldom buy more fabric, only breaking that when I needed to make yet another baby quilt and spotted a line of Noah's Ark fabric at my local quilt shop down the street. I about fainted at how much I spent that day (bought extra because of indecision about what would be used where), me who often did my fabric buying when there was a sale, or getting a discount if I bought the end of the bolt. Gone are the days of quality quilting fabric for $5 to $8 dollars a yard. This looks like a good start of a quilt using up your stash.
