It's always nice to put the finishing touches on another project. Small, but hopefully a powerful image for anyone familar with marsh life. It brings me such good memories of the Sheboygan Marsh, located near my home town in Wisconsin.

I can see the fog and almost hear the birds! Great piece!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe bird just makes the piece, it does have a very marshy look to it.
ReplyDeleteLovely piece, Mary! The details like the cattails and fabric choices work beautifully together.
ReplyDeleteI knew you would turn it into something terrific.
ReplyDeleteIt is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty good size. I always hate trying to figure out how to quilt expanses of sky - I like how you've treated it here. Very effective treatment - the minimalism really works!
ReplyDeletep.s. are you hunkering down for the big snow?
The ice dye is perfect for this. Great fabric choice for the duck--and it definitely evokes the marsh.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work Mary!
