SHORT BIO

Mary is an internationally recognized quiltmaker, fashion designer, 
instructor, lecturer, and quilt show judge who has authored a cookbook,
six quilt books and a DVD, "Mary Stori Teaches You Beading On Fabric".
Her newest book is "Embellishing With Felted Wool".  Mary is a National
Artisan for Bernina and was named 2004 Teacher of the Year by the
Professional Quilter. 

The International Quilt Study Center & Museum, University of
 Nebraska-Lincoln acquired Mary's quilt celebrity signature quilt,
"Blood, Sweat, & Signatures" for their permanent collection in September
2017.  The University of Wisconsin - UW -Stout’s Historical Collection has
acquired the Mary Stori Collection - 15 original garments from her books
and fashion show inventory of wearable art.

She has written extensively and had work appear in scores of quilt 
magazines and publications.  Her award winning work has been widely exhibited
both nationally and internationally.  She's appeared on HGTV's "Simply Quilts"
and "Sew Perfect" several times.  An entire episode of Fon's & Porter's
 "Love of Quilting" featured her beaded quilts. She designed the Mary Stori
Collection for Kona Bay Fabrics, and her own line of stencils for Quilting
Creations.  

This former Wisconsinite now lives in Clyde, NC, enjoying the area’s creative 
environment and milder winters.  She’s exhibited regularly at the North 
Carolina Arboretum,  Haywood County Arts Council and has gallery representation
with Woolworth Walk Gallery, Mountain Made in the Grove Arcade - downtown
Asheville and Firefly Gallery - Flat Rock, NC.
